This is NOT an all-inclusive list, so please reach out if you have a loved one living in Middletown, Glastonbury, Manchester, Groton, Wethersfield, CT, and the surrounding Connecticut counties of Fairfield, Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, and Tolland that is in need of home care.

Equally important is our support role for the family. Many families find the respite care we provide as an eased burden, on both the logistical and emotional stress for a loved one with Alzheimer's or Dementia can cause.

Hourly Home Care Services

In addition to live-in home care, we also provide hourly home care services. With hourly home care, you decide when you or your loved one needs us the most. Services include the following:

Companion Services 

This in-home service consists of home-based supervision and monitoring activities that assist and/or instruct an individual in maintaining a comfortable and supportive environment when the person is unable to do so alone. Duties include:

  • Provide a supportive and comfortable environment
  • Assist with phone calls and correspondence
  • Provide recreational activities and friendly conversation
  • Assist with errands and supervise activities as directed, such as taking medication, dressing, etc.
  • Provide transportation of client to physician, recreation, activities, etc.
  • Meal preparation, planning and shopping, light housekeeping, laundry

Homemaker Services

This in-home service consists of all duties included with our Companion Services. It is for clients that need assistance and/or instruction to an individual in managing their household. Duties include those of companion plus:

    • Laundry
    • Vacuuming
    • Dusting
    • Changing linens
    • Washing dishes
    • Washing floors
    • Transportation
    • Shopping
    • Recreation

Personal Care Services

This in-home service consists of all duties included with both our Homemaker and Companion services. It is for clients that need significant assistance with both managing and maintaining their household as well as assistance with personal hygiene needs. Duties include those for Companion and Homemaker, plus:

    • Bathing
    • Dressing
    • Feeding
  • Bathroom assistance
  • Incontinence care
    • Transportation
    • Grooming 

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Services

This in-home service will provide clients with a specially trained companion to offer sensitive and appropriate supervision to clients with any stage of dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.

Overnight and Live-In Home Care Services

We work with our clients to determine how many hours are needed to fit their lifestyle and comfort needs. There is no limit on the hours we service, even overnights.


If you and your loved one require or prefer around-the-clock care, we’re here to help, up to and including live-in care.

United Federal Home Care

Our caregivers can assist clients who are undergoing palliative or hospice care. Our goal is to help our clients manage their day-to-day life so they focus on their health and wellbeing. From overnight, live-in or hourly support; caregivers at United Federal Home Care are available when needed.
